Ladies and gentlemen, Z Game is now live!
Those are words we’ve wanted to say for so long and now we finally can!
We’re also proud that we recently attended our first event as a business, and where better for a launch event than in our own backyard; sunny Scotland!
The Glasgow Gaming Market was the host, Bellahouston Leisure Centre was the venue.
Our stand was superbly set up by Paul and Zac, who followed Tracy’s instructions to the letter with our tubs and shaker bottles proudly on display, our awesome banner (provided courtesy of fatBuzz), QR codes (thanks to PDC Copyprint) and FAQs for all to see, as well as loads of samples and plenty of hand sanitiser to keep everyone safe.
As the doors opened to the people who braved the wonderful Scottish weather, Tracy and Zoe arrived just in time to have the whole family manning the stand. We were ready to rock!
Zac instantly showed great confidence in interacting with everyone who came along, needing no direction whatsoever to get going. He’ll be running Z Game in no time for sure!
A big surprise though was that our ‘Head of Sales’ role may be filled already, as Zoe took it upon herself to drum up interest and custom. She could frequently be heard asking her own FAQ; ‘would you like to buy some?’ A wee cutie and a wee star.
It was great to chat to everyone who came along and to be able to share our story with so many of our fellow gaming Scots. We answered a tonne of questions, including one or two obscure ones, chatted with loads of folk, made some new friends and grew our community.
Overall it was a great day!
We were given a warm welcome by Eliot and the team at Replays Events – big shoutout and thanks to them for all their support – and many of the exhibitors too.
Although a special shoutout must go to Grant from Mad Monkey Comics, a local retailer of comics, books, graphic novels, board games and general sci-fi and superhero geekery. A lovely fella, very supportive and definitely one we’re happy support in any way possible, so please head over to his Instagram page @mad_monkey_comics and show some love… once you’ve bagged a tub of Z Game, of course. 😉
Our final special shoutout must go to The SA Geeks, who were absolutely awesome. Ziff and Kes are two lovely people who just happened to offer us our first ever interview! Although please excuse Paul who had very little prep time! Please check out their YouTube channel and show them some love, as their channel – offering gaming, streaming and general geekery fun – might just be right up your street! Their Glasgow Gaming Market video, featuring our first ever interview, can be found here.
Given how much fun we had meeting and chatting with everyone we will definitely be back at the Glasgow Gaming Market in future and will be doing more events too, meaning we are all looking forward to seeing you very soon…until then, feel free to hit us up here and fuel your winter fire with some Z Game Energy!
